The demonstrators with the slogan 'Black Lives Matter' showed their support for the victims of police violence in the US.
The organisers of the protest said discrimination against the blacks and violence by the authorities have become a routine occurrence in the United States.
According to the organisers, the police have this year killed about 200 black Americans.
The Helsinki police said the demonstration was peaceful and a handful number of people participated in it.
