The former chief of a Nokia Mission, Markku Koivisto was sentenced to a one year and three months conditional imprisonment on Tuesday on charge of  abusing a young boy sexually.

The Pirkanmaa District Court, which dealt with the matter in closed door session delivered the judgement to the open court as the allegations brought against him was proved beyond doubt.

The former Nokia high official was also sacked from his office in 2011 due to allegations of sexual abuse against him.

Markku was awarded the conditional sentence because of his nonalignment of any previous crime.

The court also ordered him to perform a thirty hours of community works and pay compensation of Euro 15,000 to the victim.

The court in the verdict also said that Markku has abused his position by conducting such crime.

The court found essential substances in connection with the sexual abuse but not any sexual contact. 

Markku was present in the court when the judgment was delivered wearing a violet color dress which meant as a matter of repentance.

The court of law imposed a sanction to keep the whole substance of the suit in secret for 60 years. The court of law, usually deals with the sexual assault cases in a close door session.
