A woman was remanded by the District Court of Southwest Finland most probably on a charge of attempted murder, confirmed the police.
The woman is suspected to have inflicted several injuries on another woman’s face and upper body in an incident in Turku.
The suspect and the victim were not known to each other before the incident.
The incident was preceded by an altercation between the two women at a restaurant in Turku city centre near the Orthodox church on Friday.
The suspect is 25 years old and a resident of Turku.
The police have heard from witnesses but still continue to ask for more information from possible eyewitnesses.
