The Supreme Administrative Court has issued tougher sentences for the brutal gang rape in Vantaa.
 
A woman in her 20s was taken twice to United Brotherhood gang premises in March 2011 in Vantaa. In both instances, the woman was raped and held for several hours as a prisoner.
 
According to the court, the rape was used as a punishment for acting as an informant and the punishment was carried out as planned.
 
Four men were sentenced in connection to the woman’s rape.
 
One convict was handed a prison term of eight years while another was sentenced to seven years and eight months in prison for aggravated rape.
 
Another accused person was sentenced to two years in prison for acting as an accomplice in the rape. The fourth convict’s conditional sentence was not revised.
