A court on Tuesday sentenced one person to ten years imprisonment for killing a man by firing a shotgun at Ulvila residential area in October last year.
The Satakunta District Court awarded the punishment as the allegations of murder, firearm crime, causing harm and unauthorized driving brought against him were proved beyond doubt.
The convict admitted his involvement in the killing but denied having committed it intentionally.
He told the court that he did not aim the shot, and that he did not know that the shotgun was loaded.
The bullet passed through the neck of the victim and also broke his jaw.
Both men had been drinking alcohol when the incident took place.
