The chair of Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party) on Tuesday said a cost saving measure of 4 billion euros will be made clear in the middle of next week.

The four billion euros will be split between the state and the municipalities. The state’s share is three billion euros while a billion euro will be cut from the municipal budget.

A significant sum from the 3 billion euros in cut is expected to be achieved through the social welfare and healthcare reform.

According to Sipilä, a feasible solution is being deliberated by the party chairs involved in the talks to form the next government.

The government programme is expected to be completed by middle of next week.

Meanwhile, Soini, the party leader of Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) on Tuesday said the ideological differences between the parties have been evident in the course of dealing with fiscal adjustment. According to Soini, the occurrence is natural as three different political parties are involved in the talks.
