Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) spokesperson Sampo Terho is tight-lipped about a scandalous statement wrote by a party MP on Facebook.

In his second term as lawmaker, Olli Immonen released a declaration sharply against multiculturalism.

“No other comment than it is a case of a representative’s personal opinion,” Terho wrote in a text to the STT.

Terho was reluctant to comment on whether such statements were appropriate, whether the matter was discussed with Immonen and if it will lead to any action from within the party.

“No more comments,” Terho told STT.

In the comment published on Facebook, Immonen said he had “a dream of a strong state that would overcome this nightmare named multiculturalism.”

The text was published in English and it was also seen on the Finnish Sisu organisation’s website.

Immonen, the organisation’s president, describes himself as national minded.

“This ugly bubble, where enemies live, will soon break out into millions of small pieces,” Immonen wrote in an update.

“I have a strong belief in fighting for my brethren. We will fight to the end for our homeland and on behalf of a true Finnish State.” The MP signed off the update with “Victory is ours.”
