The visiting Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday said that external factors should not affect the good relations between Russia and Finland.
Speaking at a post meeting joint press conference in Oulu, foreign minister Timo Soini and his Russian counterpart focused on the economic cooperation between the neighbouring countries and the situation in the tourism sector.
The Russian Foreign Minister said he discussed also international issues such as the Syrian situation and the fight against terrorism.
Furthermore, the two ministers held discussions on Ukraine.
Soini described the meeting as very good and meaningful.
