Niinistö began his four-day official visit to Turkey on Monday.
The president’s visit comes after the bombing attack carried out in the Turkish city of Ankara last week.
The press secretary at the Office of the President, Liina Aulin had earlier on Sunday confirmed that the president’s visit to Turkey will go ahead as planned.
Niinistö is scheduled to meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday.
