The main concerns in Finland are employment, the economy, social and health care, and the national debt, according to the Eurobarometer survey of 32,000 European Union citizens.

The employment situation concerns 43 per cent of the Finnish respondents, which is higher than the average for EU countries. Thirty per cent are concerned about Finland’s economic situation, and 29 per cent about the social and health care (sote) reform.

At the EU level, Finns and other EU citizens are most concerned with immigration and terrorism. The concern about terrorism is significantly higher than that found in the previous studies.

According to the Eurobarometer, Finns have more confidence in the EU, their parliament and their government than other EU countries.

About one thousand Finns responded to the survey.
