The lawmakers of the Left Alliance and the Green League during the preliminary debate expressed support to the bill.
Earlier, the citizen forum last autumn raised the demand for imposing ban on fur farming in the country and collected signatures as at least 50,000 signatures are required to submit it to the lawmakers for placing a bill.
But the citizen movement might be failed to insist the lawmakers to enact the law as during the initial debate, only the  Left Alliance and the Green League lawmakers spoke in favour  of the bill, which was rejected by the parliament earlier following strong opposition of the majority lawmakers.

The committee will process the bill after gathering opinions from the experts of the respective field regarding various aspects of fur farming. Other parliamentary groups will also cooperate the committee to review the bill intensively
