President Sauli Niinistö and First Lady Jenni Haukio were not invited to the wedding ceremony of the princess of Sweden, said a report of MTV3 after getting the information confirmed by the president’s office on Wednesday.
The wedding ceremony of Princess Madeleine and her American fiancé Chris O'Neill is scheduled to be held at the Swedish Royal Palace in Stockholm on June 8.
Madeleine is the fourth in line of inheritance, after Crown Princess Victoria, little Princess Estelle and Prince Carl Philip.
Finland’s first couple had been invited by the Swedish royal family in May last year to the naming ceremony of Crown Princess Victoria’s first child Estelle.
