The visiting Irish Minister of State Dara Murphy is scheduled to meet Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Lenita Toivakka on Thursday in Helsinki.
Murphy is responsible for European affairs and data protection.
In their discussions, the ministers are expected to focus on key EU affairs, including Greece, Ukraine, terrorism, the energy union and the digital single market, said a press release.
"Recently, debate within the European Union has been largely dominated by questions concerning the crisis in Ukraine, terrorism and the Greek economy. In order to overcome these challenges Europe must stand united and look firmly ahead," Toivakka said.
“I believe that the energy union and the digital single market offer great potential for growth. They are our next key EU projects,” the Finnish Minister continued in his statement about the scheduled meeting.
