The District Court of Pirkanmaa sentenced a man to 11 years in prison for murder and drug crime.
The court convicted the 55-year-old as the allegation of killing another man in Tampere in May brought against him was proved beyond doubt.
The convict, however, denied the allegation of killing but acknowledged an incident of tussle with the man and assault resulting into the death.
He also admitted the drug charge he faced which entailed possession of marijuana.
The court figured out based on the medical examination, among other things, that the injuries suffered by the victim were caused by the accused.
The killing took place at a house where the victim and the accused spent time. According to the court, the accused had earlier threatened the victim.
The accused was also ordered to compensate the victim's relatives.
