Twenty kilograms of explosives and electric detonators were recovered from a wooden house in Turku on Friday.
The police revealed that the explosive agents and detonators had been stolen from different places during the Christmas holiday.
The police were tipped off by the public. According to the police, there was no need to carry out an evacuation.
The police described the seizure as huge. Two men suspected to have amassed the explosives have already been reached by the police.
One of the suspects is believed to have lived in the house in which the explosives were found.
It is still not clear why the men had stored the explosives.
