There are various types of strollers and, similarly, the wishes of parents to have certain features incorporated in the strollers are increasingly expressed.
Not every stroller model works perfectly in every condition. Therefore, parents should think about the type of stroller they desire most, points out Babycenter Oy Executive Director Susanna Runolinna.
Parents should consider the amount of space a stroller can occupy and the roads they are best suited for. Folding baby strollers are best suited for personal cars while, on the other hand, strollers which are too wide are not suitable when using public transport.

Baby strollers, more than ever before, are expected to suit the parents’ lifestyles, says Hanna Forssell, an ethnographer who has also written a book on the history of baby strollers.
The range of strollers has expanded and they have been made more practical and safer, she says. “The parents’ main wish has always been the stroller’s safety, which has been improved. For instance, reflectors have been added to the strollers,” said Forssell.
According to Runolinna, the most popular model is the convertible strollers which can be adopted to suit a child’s growth. Their prices range from 500 to 1,000 euros.
“Most buy them alongside the light strollers which is easy to navigate around the cities,” added Runolinna.
Accessories are also acquired with the strollers. In the country, the accessories are dictated by the weather condition. Many people acquire rain cover or mosquito net and cup holder, if they are not part of the package.
